Darren Shanks (Part 9)

I know it has been a while since I have made an entry into this Blog, but I have some good news to share with you all.

I just got off the phone with Darren. He told me he had a "Gallion" (I hope I spelled that right) scan which is a radioactive scan of the body. Upon checking Darren's body for any cancer, the scan revealed there all the cancer in his body is dead. That means there is no cancer in his body right now.

Darren will be going back for a follow-up on Friday. There is no need to operate and remove the cancer at this time. Darren will still have to undergo a couple of chemotherapy sessions on a maintenance basis.

This is truly good news! Thank you all for your prayers and keeping Darren, his mother Vivian, father Tom and brother Brian in your thoughts.

On Saturday June the 12th, there will be a 'San Carlos Donors for Darren Blood Drive' at the San Carlos Recreation Center. As soon as I get more information, I will post it on the Blog.
